The Best Time I had watching Toronto motorsports

About a year ago, I attended an event that was amazing. It was one of the CSCS motorsport racing events at the Toronto Motorsports Park that was made up of drifting, drag racing, and a time attack.

This Toronto motorsports event was one of a kind. The energy was really high, there was tons of people, lots of cars, burning rubber, and loud and fast cars that would get your adrenaline pumping. With everyone’s love for cars, you end up talking to a lot of new people, and having a great time.

The unfortunate part about the day of this motorsport racing event was that the weather was a little cooler than I was hoping for and the memorabilia was a bit on the pricey side, but otherwise everything was awesome and I would go back to watch CSCS every year.

When did you last go to a Toronto motorsports event and how was it compared to other motorsport racing events that you have attended?

Are Car Dash Cameras Legal in Ontario?

Interested in getting a car dash cam but in the midst of getting one you came across the question of: are dash cameras legal? Car dash cameras are used in many industry's for security and safety reasons; but are they legal??

A car dash cam is a nice feature to have for both pleasure and security. Whether you want to capture that nice moment when you are driving next to a nice import or just want to record to make sure you have a video if something happens to your car or someone else’s, a car dash cam is nice to have. But are dash cameras legal? I personally believe that it's a leisure item to buy for any intended use; as for being legal they can and can't be. For a driver interested in recording a long cruse with their car dash camera then it is legal. In the case of someone always making sure its recording constantly looking over, then it is illegal because if it falls then it can be a distraction when driving. So there is a yes and a no in my opinion but it comes down to who owns it and how they use it that can make it legal or illegal.

What do you think, should a car dash cam be illegal?? Or are car dash cameras illegal already??

You now know there legal, so now is the time for a good review at http://motorsportsevents.blogspot.com/2013/06/dashboard-cameras-for-cars.html

The Best Way to Take Pictures of Subarus

There are many car events to attend throughout the spring and summer months, but there is only a few ways to take stunning pictures of subarus or any other cars really well.

There are many different pictures of subarus that you can take, but some of the most popular pictures to take are the pictures of blue cars.

Many people take pictures of blue cars, but when it comes to a Subaru impreza, nothing compares to the blue that they use called racing blue.

Here are some tips to taking great pictures of subarus in motion.

1.    Do not use your phone to take pictures
2.    Use a good camera
3.    Use a flash when you are taking pictures
4.    Use the appropriate lenses based on how far you are away from vehicle
5.    Take pictures from different angles
6.    Get on a lower level – be willing to get on your knees and take your pictures of the sharp lines

Figure 1. Robert Bacchus’ Brothers Car [photograph] by Robert Bacchus, 2012

Now is the time to start taking pictures of blue cars, and even pictures of subarus even when when they aren’t in motion.

Some great angles to when taking pictures of blue cars that are parked are:

1.    Kneel at the front of the car at a slight angle to take a picture of the front and side of the vehicle
2.    Kneel directly at the front of the vehicle and take a photo
3.    Step away from car and take a picture of the entire car

What is your favorite car and color to take pictures of and why?

My Childhood Dream – Become a Photographer!

I have always wanted to become a photographer. Here is why I wanted to create photos of race cars.

I have always been fascinated with photography. Specifically action images photography. Ever since I was a young boy I was enraptured by the study of photography. Capturing images is a wonderful art. I find it amazing that some people are just able to capture a portrait and tell a story through a picture. I have always wanted to do that and help other people? One of the reasons I did a post on tips for action photography is because I wanted to help others who had the same dream as I, to capture images so as to inspire others. I believe that there is beauty in everyday life, and that we should do our best to soak up this beauty and share it with others. I feel as though it is our duty to share the greatness of the world around us with our fellow man.

Why buying a dash camera can save you money

Today I want to bring something very important to your attention readers. How buying a car dash cam can actually save you money.

I know what you are thinking. How can a car dash camera save me money? Well if you look back to my first ever blog post (how time flies) you will see that auto mobile dash cameras can capture some pretty strange events. Whether it is something mundane like jay walking or the truly fantastic like a meteor exploding, car dash cams have proved invaluable in recording events from the front of your car. It stands to reason that if you have a dash camera recording at all times, it could record the details of a collision.

Such information would be great to use in a court case if necessary. Should your insurance company attempt to raise your rates you could use the evidence provided to show that you were in the right. It also occurs to me that a car dash cam could also record a potential hit and run and I.D. the car that left the scene of the crime. Imagine how great that would be!

What do you think? Is this a good idea?

My favourite Japanese Car

My favourite Japanese Car

I want to take some time today and talk about my favourite cheap Japanese import car. This is a topic I am very passionate about. So without further ado, I present my review of the Nissan Altima

What can I say about this beautiful machine? First of all it’s a Japanese grey import car and easily combines style with success. The cool reflective surface of this machine makes me nostalgic for my childhood. I feel like a kid peeling open a new set of Pokémon cards. The anticipation for what lays inside. The trepidation and fear of what might be lurking within. It is awe - inspiring to say the least.

I feel as though this Japanese grey import car has too much to offer. Not only does it convey such a sense of majesty….it is also very affordable. You may have noticed I have not mentioned anything about the specifics of this car like its horsepower or engine type. That is because I don’t want too. The best thing about this car is how it makes me feel.

What is your favourite car?

A Quick Dashboard Cameras for Cars Review

Dashboard cameras for cars have many uses and can be used in many different situations. But which one would I say is the best dash camera?

Dashboard cameras for cars are a new and upcoming must have feature. Whether it is a JVC or a GoPro it's hard to say what the best dash camera is. Each having their own features and benefits, it depends on the purpose and the user to declare the best dash camera. For a racer a dash cam can be used for a review of their driving and see where performance can be improved and to see a multi-point view if multiple car dash camera are used. The best dash camera user can use their dashboard cameras for cars to provide safety and security to always allow another person to see what had happened instead of word of mouth. It's a nice feature to have in any car because you never know when you'll need it.

What would you say is the best dash camera and how would you put it to use?

The 5 Funniest Events Caught on a Car Dash Cam

Have you ever heard of people setting up  auto-mobile dash cameras? Mainly such devices are used to record potential collisions or other insurance matters. However, from time to time they have been known to capture events ranging from strange to spectacular.

Here are the top ten events caught on a dashboard camera.
1.)   Free loaders have been known to hitch a ride on passing cars. Certain dashboard cams have recorded the event in question.
2.)   Sometimes road rage leaves the vehicle and enters the street. Some dash cameras have recorded angry pedestrians venting their rage on unsuspecting cars.

3.)   One user’s submission was of a man pulling a gun on him! Luckily no one was injured, and the event was recorded by the car dash cam.

4.)   The image below is precursor to a multi – truck pile up, all recorded on the auto-mobile dash camera.

5.)   The image below is perhaps the most startling of all – the meteor that recently fell over Russia. I suggest you watch the video to get the full effect.

Do you have any submissions regarding auto-mobile dash cameras?

Which cheap Japanese import cars do I think are a good car to start learning to race?

You want to start racing as an amateur but you are not sure what car you are exactly looking for, but you are considering buying from a large list of cheap Japanese import cars. Well the list is big, but easy to manage once you know the specifics of the cars you want.

When it comes to cheap Japanese import cars you have the choice between front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, and all-wheel drive. Each of these drive trains have their own advantages and disadvantages.

Here are some cheap Japanese import cars that I consider a good start in racing. I have further separated this category into specific drivetrain.

Front Wheel Drive
·         Honda Civic
·         Honda Prelude
·         Acura Integra
·         Acura RSX

Rear Wheel Drive
·         Nissan 180sx
·         Nissan 240sx

All-Wheel Drive
·         Subaru Impreza

These are models between the years 1990 – 1995, they are easy and affordable to tune and upgrade, and also they are very affordable when looking for insurance for japanese import cars. When looking for a good place to find insurance for Japanese import cars, start by calling an insurance company that you, and your family and friends currently use because sometimes they are willing to make a deal with you if you have more cars with your current insurance provider.

What other kinds of cars out there do you think are cheap and possibly a good start for racing and why?
